Baseball Warehouse Staff​​

Owner and Chief Operator:
Mike Garlatti

Mike is the mastermind behind bringing Central NJ to a new level of baseball instruction. He has compiled both his wealth of baseball knowledge and coaching experience along with one of the finest instructional staff's around. Currently Mike is the Northeast Scouting Supervisor for the Colorado Rockies and has been scouting for the Rockies for the past 25 years. In 2018 Mike was inducted into the Mid-Atlantic Scouts Hall of Fame. A former catcher at both the University of Tampa and Ramapo College, he got into coaching in 1989 under Fred Hill at Rutgers University and was one game away from winning the College World Series in 1990. Mike has dedicated his life towards helping kids develop their baseball skills and goals not only in baseball but in life and school.

Director of Player Development:
Joe Augustine

Joe played his High School ball at Highland Park High School where he was an All-County and All-State Pitcher. From Highland Park Joe went on to play his college ball at Kean University where he was two time All-Conference, All State & All Mid-Atlantic Region selection. As a senior at Kean Joe was part of the 2007 NCAA National Championship team. In the World Series Joe threw a complete game victory over the then #1 ranked team in the country in Chapman University from California. In return he was named to the All-tournament team. Also during that ​​season Joe was named the NJAC, NJCBA, New Jersey Sports Writers, ECAC and ABCA Mid-Atlantic Regional pitcher of the year. He was also selected as an ABCA 1st team All-American for the 2007 season. After leaving Kean, Joe Signed with the Kansas City Royals and spent two seasons in their Minor League System. During his first full season with Kansas City he played for the Burlinton Bee's of the Midwest league. That season the Bee's won the 2008 Midwest League Championship and Joe was selected to participate in the Midwest League All-Star Game. After playing in the Kansas City Organization Joe went on to sign with the Southern Illinois Miners of the Independent Frontier League and spent 3 seasons with them. In 2010 he was selected to the Frontier League All-Star game and was named the starting pitcher for the West division. At the conclusion of the season he was selected to the Frontier League All League team and was awarded the Brain Tollberg Award given annually to the Frontier League Pitcher of the Year. Joe was also named to Baseball America's 1st team all independent team and was also named to the top independent prospects list. Joe has been with the Baseball Warehouse since the Fall of 2011. Joe runs our travel teams, Strength & Conditioning along with giving lessons and seeing overall daily operations. Joe is also the Head Coach of our BW 2019 & 2023 Teams.

Bobby Bennetti

Bobby was a former two time all-division player at Old Bridge High School. After High School Bobby continued his education and Baseball career at Caldwell University where he was an All-Conference and All-Academic player. Bobby had a stretch of 15 games of not giving up a run which led to his selection as the CACC relief pitcher of the year. Bobby is currently a Social Studies teacher in the Old Bridge School district, as well as being an assitant baseball coach for Old Bridge High School. A long with doing lessons Coach Bobby is also the Head Coach of our 2021 team.

Alejandro Diaz

Hondo played his High School ball at Old Bridge where he was an All-County Infielder and Utility player. Hondo was a Team Captain on the 2011 GMC Championship team, which was the first GMC Championship in school History. Hondo went on to Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) where he received his bachelors in Business Administration. While at SNHU Hondo was a part of the 2012 team who won the East Regional and attended the NCAA Division II College World Series for the first time in school history. During his junior year Hondo led the team in average and captured the Northeast-10 Championship. Hondo was a 2-time All-Conference player, junior year as a First baseman and senior year as a Third baseman. As a senior, Hondo was elected a co-caption for SNHU baseball team. Hondo has joined the Baseball Warehouse in 2015. Hondo is the Head Coach of our BW 2020 Team along with an assistant to our 2019 and 2023 teams. Along with working at the Warehouse Hondo is a Program Coordinator at Rutgers University for the Youth Sports Research Council.

Softball Instructor
Marylynn Muldowney

A former All-State Player & Team Captain Marylynn played her High School ball at North Brunswick High School where she was aslo a 4 time All-Conference selection & 4 time Team MVP. She holds the school record at North Brunswick for most career hits by any Softball/Baseball Player. Following her Senior season Marylynn was selected for the prestigious N.J. 36 Team, made up of the top Seniors in New Jersey. Also during her Senior season Marylynn accepted a Softball scholarship from the University of Rhode Island where she went on to be a 4 year starter for the Rams. While at Rhode Island she was named to the A-10 Conference All Rookie Team, led the team in hitting in A-10 play 2 out of 4 years & was named Team Captain her senior season. Marylynn graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a degree is Health Science. Along with working at the Warehouse Marylynn is also an assistant Softball Coach at the College of Saint Elizabeth.

Stephen Fortuna

A former All-State and All-County Pitcher for Metuchen High School Steve took  his game to another level his Senior season for the Bulldogs. During his Senior campaign Steve posted a 0.47 ERA, 75 K's in 60IP & held opponents to a .129 Batting Average against. Those numbers led Steve to being named the 2012 GMC Pitcher of the Year. Steve accepted a Scholarhip to continue his education and baseball career at Southern New Hampshire University, one of the top D2 programs in the country. For his college career Steve threw 71 innings and posted a 1.89 ERA. Steve graduated from Southern New Hampshire University with his bachelors in Business Administration and an MBA in Finance. Along with working at the Warehouse Steve is also an Accounting Associate at Prudential Financial. Steve also helps coach our BW Teams.

Tyler Jackow

A former Colonia High School standout & Team Captain Tyler was a 3 year starter for the Patriots. As a Junior he helped Colonia win the 2008 GMC White Division Championship. His senior season Tyler hit .515 and did not commit an error in the field leading to his All-Division, All-Conference & All-Area selections. After graduating from Colonia High School Tyler continued his Baseball Carrer at McDaniel College in Maryland where he was a 4 year starter and Team Captain. In 2012 he was part of the McDaniel Team that  set the school record for most wins in a season. Tyler Graduated from McDaniel College with a degree in Physical Education & Health. Along with working at the Warehouse Tyler is also currently a Physical Education & Health Teacher at Edison High School, where he is also an assistant Football, Basketball & Baseball coach for the Eagles. Tyler is also the Head Coach  of our BW 2022 Team.
